DreamCatchers + Sacred Space

In every home and for every person there is a spot, a favourite place, where you love to kick
your feet up, relax, and savour some quiet time. This may be in your bedroom or your living
room, or maybe even your dining area. We all have a Sacred Space in our homes where we
can fully unwind, whether we call it our Sacred Space or not, or are even conscious of it. To
me Sacred Space can be your bed, your couch, a personalized alter (and I don’t mean in a
religious way), a meditation corner, a space where you refuel and reset.
As someone who has been dreamweaving sculptural dreamcatchers for almost two decades,
I love to create in my bedroom, especially the weaving part. That is my Sacred Space. Where
I can have quiet and peace and focus on creating. When I look at my creations suspended
around me, they give me a sense of calm and wonder, a tranquility, but at the same time;
inspiration. That is exactly what I want to provide with my art, a creation that resonates
healing energy in a space. To me they are much more than the name “dreamcatchers”, they
are energy filters, Sacred Geometric sculptures, wholistic decor. They are meant to instill
harmony through their Sacred Geometric pattern, and intentions created with the use of
certain gemstones and materials. Especially with their multidimensionality, they create
movement and flow within a space.

There is so much rich history and meaning in this ancient tribal craft. They are not restricted
to any religion or spiritual path, style or culture, they are meant to transcend all. It inspires me to create art that is part of someone’s Sacred Space, I can’t think of anything I’d love to do more, to be a part of a healing interior.
True art is made from the heart and soul. When you find an art piece which resonates with you on that deeper level, it takes that creation to a whole other dimension.
Whatever your Sacred Space is and whatever that means to you, I hope that you nurture it
and take care of it, so it can do the same for you. Surround yourself with things you love
and that ignite your spirit. There are no rules or limitations.
We all dream and we are all connected.
